Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how RoundHound collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the RoundHound marketing site at roundhound.com.

This policy covers the public marketing site only. It does not cover the RoundHound ordering product, staff tools, or other RoundHound applications.

RoundHound is the operating name for this site and service. RoundHound is based in Park City, Utah, United States.

Information we collect

Course contact information. If you use the course contact form, RoundHound collects your name, work email, and course or organization, plus any optional role, phone number, and message you provide.

Golfer beta information. If you request golfer beta access, RoundHound collects your email address and any optional first name you provide.

Limited technical and analytics information. When you use the site, RoundHound and its analytics provider may receive limited technical information such as pages viewed, referring site, campaign parameters, approximate device or browser information, and a random analytics identifier. Ordinary operation of the site may also involve server logs that include an IP address.

Forms include a hidden honeypot field to discourage automated spam. If that field is filled in, the submission is ignored and is not stored as a course inquiry or beta signup.

How we use information

Course contact information may be used to:

  • respond to the inquiry
  • contact the course or organization representative about RoundHound
  • evaluate potential course relationships
  • maintain appropriate business records
  • understand and improve RoundHound's sales and market efforts

If you provide an optional phone number, RoundHound may use it to respond to the inquiry.

Golfer beta email addresses, and an optional first name if supplied, may be used for:

  • beta access
  • product availability and rollout information
  • RoundHound product updates
  • RoundHound news

Requesting beta access is not a separate newsletter subscription. RoundHound may send relevant RoundHound news and product communications to people who request beta access.

Technical and analytics information is used to operate and improve the site, understand how people use it, and measure interest in RoundHound.

Analytics

RoundHound uses PostHog to measure how people use this marketing site. Analytics is limited to explicit events such as page views, button clicks, and form engagement. Autocapture, session recording, heatmaps, and advertising tracking are turned off.

PostHog may store a random identifier in your browser so RoundHound can understand repeat visits and, when you submit a form, connect that submission to earlier activity on this site. That identifier is not your name or email. RoundHound configures this identifier to persist in local browser storage rather than as a cookie.

Analytics runs when PostHog is configured for the site.

Service providers and other disclosures

RoundHound may disclose information to service providers that process it on RoundHound's behalf as needed to operate the site. That currently includes:

  • the RoundHound platform and API, which receive and store course-contact and golfer-beta submissions
  • PostHog, when analytics is enabled, which receives the analytics events described above

Other infrastructure providers may process information as needed to host and operate the site. RoundHound may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the site or others, or in connection with a reorganization or similar business transaction.

Data retention

RoundHound may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating and improving the site and service, analytics, maintaining appropriate business records, communicating with prospective customers and users, protecting the service and resolving disputes, and satisfying applicable legal obligations.

If you ask RoundHound to delete your information or make another privacy request, RoundHound will consider that request as described below. RoundHound does not promise a fixed deletion schedule, and it does not retain information indefinitely without regard to these purposes.

Sale of personal information

RoundHound does not sell personal information.

Choices and privacy requests

You can contact RoundHound about privacy requests, including access, correction, or deletion, at PRIVACY_EMAIL_TODO@roundhound.com.

RoundHound does not currently offer a self-service privacy portal.

Children

This marketing site is not directed to children under 13.

Security

RoundHound uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and RoundHound cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

RoundHound may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
